We were back at Our Favorite Place again and with a crowd of around a hundred, the place was rocking. Jimmy Munn knows how
to keep the floor full and played all of the favorite tunes tonight.
We had visitors from as far away as Virginia as Kay and Ed Linkis dropped in and surprised us all. Many of our old shaggers turned
out as well as the new ones.
Of course as everyone knows Shaggers love to eat and what a spread we had. Our Favorite Place provided delicious fried chicken
and the shaggers brought their favorite dish.
It was a nice surprise when Sam and Lisa West dropped in as well as Gene Sistaire..
Bill Jones entained us with his version of Mama's Been Drinking Again along with his backup crew.
It was the usual fun time at Our Favorite Place. Hope to see you there next Saturday night

AROUND TOWN

The party started early at Our Favorite Place and was still going strong around midnight. We started out with a real authentic spaghetti
dinner with wine and Dean Martin music playing in the background. It was so much fun as we kept squeezing friends together
at our table and everyone telling jokes and funny stories. We then left feeling that maybe we had eaten and drank a little too much but
on to the dance where we all continued to party.
Jimmy Davis was the DJ and he really played some great music. All the old crowd was there and after Fred passed out some of
his drinks, the dancers flooded the dance floor and showed us all the latest steps they had learned as well as some of the dances
from the past. We would be remiss if we didn't mention our celebrity, Bill Jones as he sang Mama's Been Drinking Again and of
course his backups, that did an outstanding job. Our Favorite Place is getting better every night and we want to thank Fred Sharpe
for his effort in making all of the changes that have kept this the place for shaggers to meet on Saturday night. We had around one
hundred shggers there and the amount continues to grow every Friday and Saturday nights.

AROUND TOWN

Our Favorite Place was the usual fun time of getting together with friends with a little dancing, a lot of eating and of course visiting with
our friends. There is always a good crowd of around a hundred shaggers. We seem to have excellent cooks as the food is always
outstanding.
Tonight was a special night as the World Series of Baseball had USC playing Clemson. We probably had half and half cheering
the teams on and what fun we had. It was watch the TV, eat and dance. We all remained friends no matter who wins, and had
so much fun pulling for our teams.
We had expecially good food as Evelyn and Bill Jones cooked two hams for us and the rest of us just added something to the
dinner.
Of course Jimmy Munn played he usual good music.
